THE LOWDOWN
“Through the Clay Door: Random Ways to Discover Sunny Singapore” was created for kids, by kids. This is not a guide book, but a companion for discovering the joy and quirks of everyday life. Each activity reveals the nature, culture and traditions of the travel destination. Familiar favourites like Word Searches and Mazes sit alongside wackier creative challenges, each activity revealing Singapore from a child’s point of view. This book is suitable for anybody aged 3-103 with a pencil, a sense of humour and an appetite for discovery.

THE MAKERS
Junior Concierge was created for kids, by kids who believe in the joy of everyday life.
NYC, VZC and IP are best friends. They are the inspiration for and chief instigators of Junior Concierge. They live in Singapore. In the “Through the Clay Door” series, they appear as Blobby, Blob and Blobette, three friends who are dead keen on seeing the world. Blobby is five, Blob is eight and Blobette is six.
Junior Concierge’s first project is “Through the Clay Door”, a series of books full of random activities that encourage observation and fascination with the world around us. In this way, we become journalists, artists and naturalists. More importantly, we become part of where we are. The first book in this series is Sunny Singapore. It was illustrated by twelve year old Anna and copy-edited by her sister Sophie.
